Dit eerste Hoorns VOC-beiaardboek kwam tot stand in het VOC-jaar 2002.
In het kader van de activiteiten rond de oprichting van de Verenigde Oostindische Compagnie, 400 jaar geleden, organiseerde de Vereniging “Het Carillon te Hoorn” een beiaardcompositiewedstrijd.

This first Hoorn VOC Carillon Book was realized in the VOC year 2002. In the framework of activities commemorating the founding of the Dutch East India Trading Company (VOC) 400 years ago, the organization “The Carillon of Hoorn” held a carillon composition competition.
