Composing for the Carillon
Have you written a piece and would like to hear it performed on the carillon or do you want to write a new work for bells?
In the course Composing for the Carillon, we discover what works well on this instrument. Range and tuning have an important role in this.
Proficiency in writing your music down is an important condition for following this course successfully.
If required, the teacher can transfer the work to the computer, using the Sibelius programme.
The course consists of two two-hourly workshops.
The first course takes place on the study-keyboards in the Carillon School at the Grote Spui in Amersfoort. At the end of the second lesson, we go to the Belgian Monument, where the carillonneur will perform your work.
Both individual and group lessons are possible.
